Inspiration
I went to see the William Klein and Daido Moriyama exhibition showing at the Tate Modern, London last week when I was in the city. I love the Tate Modern, it was buzzing with people as usual, and you just cant beat the exhibitions they put on - you really feel like you are soaking up London's culture.
Both William Klein and Daido Moriyama are known for their 'quick shot' style street photography. I was particularly inspired by William Klein's last scale mixed media photography art pieces below. They spanned the walls of the gallery space and in them he revisited his old contact sheets and boldly painted on them in an editorial style fashion.
I really liked the contrast of the reality of the black and white photography with the almost naive brushstrokes in primary colours. They would look amazing in a white industrial style house with graphic black and whites.
Go and see it for yourself!
